Ingredients

  • 600800g trout (2–4 steaks)
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 glass white wine
  • 1/3 glass vegetable oil
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • 1/2 bunch dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Your favorite spices to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the trout steaks. Season with salt, pepper, and your preferred spices. Let rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Peel the carrot and cut into strips. Slice the onion into thin half-rings.
  3. Place carrots and onions in a baking dish. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Finely chop parsley and dill. Spread evenly over the vegetables.
  5. Place the seasoned trout steaks on top. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon over the fish and let sit for 15 more minutes.
  6. Pour the white wine and vegetable oil over the fish. Cut the second lemon in half and place the halves inside the fish.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 40–50 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve hot with the baked vegetables.
